BEVAN - Why do we need a body (like god) because jesus christ created the earth, touched Jeremiahs Mouth, The Stones in Ether etc. My thought is that we cannot bear children (physical or spirtual) without a body if so why did god command Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth if they couldnt. Also apparntly we will have spirit organs but im not so sure would god give us things that dont serve a purpose e.g. Lungs send oxygen thru the blood but i dont think we'll be breathing in the celestial kingdom unless its another kind of air.

JOEL - For some things you can't ask why. To ask why implies that someone in the eternal past made a decision that we had to have bodies. That didn't happen. We have bodies because God has a body and His father had one and so on, and in order for us to become like Him we must also have bodies. Conditions that are eternal just have to be accepted without asking why.
Our immortal bodies will be made of flesh and bone and spirit, but no blood. I don't know how our organs will work, but apparently they will in some way, or else how could Jesus breathe on his Apostles(John 20:22), and eat food(Luke 24:42-43) as proof to them that he had a body? But of course being God He could do anything He wanted. Paul teaches that our present body will be changed to be like the glorious body of Christ (Phil. 3:20-21). So this could mean that after we die and are resurrected we will all probably be able to eat and breathe as well if we want, but because our bodies will no longer be aging and growing they will not actually need to do either one.
The resurrected body is tangible, but according to Joseph Smith, when the flesh is quickened by the Spirit there will be "spirit in their [veins] and not blood" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 367).
If there is no blood to take the nourishment or oxygen to our cells then there is no need to eat food or to breathe. There may not even be anything to eat in heaven.
So we probably won't need to eat food or breathe, but if there are occasions when we will be eating as resurected beings, how our bodies will process that food or if we will need to breathe is a detail that has not been revealed to us yet. And if we are exalted we will somehow be able to create spirit children, but how that is done is something we don't know yet either.
Adam and Eve were immortal in the Garden and as such could not bear children unless they became mortal. So they had to disobey a lesser commandment from God(don't eat the fruit) in order to obey the greater commandment(multiply and replenish the earth).

BEVAN - The Nephite Twelve, were they actually apostles and should there be more than one quorum of the twelve in the world at one time.

JOEL - When Jesus visited the Nephites, He called 12 "disciples" to lead His church on the western continent. They were not called "Apostles", even though they were given similar authority to act in the name of Jesus for the people living there(3 Nephi 18:36-38, 3 Ne. 12: 1) . The Twelve Apostles that He chose to lead His Church on the eastern continent were the leaders of the Church for the entire earth. Here is what you might call an "official" statement from one of the Presidents of our Church today.

"While in every instance the Nephite twelve are spoken of as disciples, the fact remains that they had been endowed with divine authority to be special witnesses for Christ among their own people. Therefore, they were acting like apostles to the Nephite race although their jurisdiction was eventually to be subject to the authority and jurisdiction of Peter and the Twelve chosen in Palestine."
