BRUCE - Can you explain the contradiction regarding Abraham's age as reported in Genesis 12:4 compared to Abraham 2:14?

Gen 12:4 - "So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran."
Abr 2:14 - "So I, Abraham, departed as the Lord had said unto me, and Lot with me; and I, Abraham, was sixty and two years old when I departed out of Haran."

Since the Book of Abraham was reproduced by revelation from God to his prophet Joseph Smith, I would trust the Abraham version more than Genesis.
Elder Bruce R McConkie agreed when he said:
"From the Book of Abraham we learn that Abraham was sixty-two and not seventy-five years of age when he left Haran (Genesis 12:4; Abraham 2:14), showing at least that much of an error in the Old Testament account." (Bruce R. McConkie, Doctrinal New Testament Commentary, 2:71.)

There exist other, non-Biblical, ancient documents found since Joseph Smith's day which indicate that Abraham left Haran earlier than 75 years old.
There is also the possibility that both ages are correct. One might be referring to when he left the city of Haran and the other one with the older age might represent when he left the greater area of Haran.
