COREY - What do you think about Daily exercise on a sunday? You think its okay or not okay?

JOEL - I would say it's not okay, but how one keeps the Sabbath Day holy is a rather personal thing that might be different from one individual to the next. For example I don't think there's anything wrong with a nice walk on a Sunday afternoon, but I would not participate in any sports or vigorous exercizing. More important than what one does on the Sabbath, is the attitude one has while doing it. Is the activity spiritually uplifting? Does it worship God or serve man? Does it provide rest for the body and mind? Does it increase one's knowledge in the Gospel?

The Lord said:

"And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself unspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon my holy day;
For verily this is a day appointed unto you to rest from your labors, and to pay thy devotions unto the Most High;
Nevertheless thy vows shall be offered up in righteousness on all days and at all times;
But remember that on this, the Lord’s day, thou shalt offer thine oblations and thy sacraments unto the Most High, confessing thy sins unto thy brethren, and before the Lord.
And on this day thou shalt do none other thing, only let thy food be prepared with singleness of heart that thy fasting may be perfect, or, in other words, that thy joy may be full.” (D&C 59:9-13.)

The admonition that the preparation of food on the Sabbath is to be done with "singleness of heart", reflects the necessity of prioritizing and keeping in perspective the purpose of this holy day. All else should be secondary to the worship of God.
As we follow the counsel above we must also consider the circumstances at hand as we live it so it can be a joy to us as Jesus suggested when He said, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:" (Mark 2: 27, See also Matt 12:10-12)
