JOSH - I'm an elder in the church right now. i'm a convert and im single. I am wondering how does one progress in the priesthood to become a high priest?

JOEL - Actually it's not really a matter of progressing. A lot of it depends on what the needs are of the Stake you are in right now. Usually a person is ordained to be a High Priest when there is a need to fill a position in a Bishopric or a leadership position in the High priest group or other Stake leadership position. A Stake President may also determine that a High Priest Group in a particular ward needs more members and will call on the older more experienced and married Elders to be ordained High Priests.
