KELLE - Can I inherit the highest celestial glory where God and Jesus dwell if I had an abortion before I was baptised?

JOEL - Yes you can. One of the main reasons for baptism is to wash away our sins; all our sins.

"And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." (Acts 22: 16)

"saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isa 1:18)

Baptism is the beginning of a new life. The slate is washed clean and you get to start over again. Afterwards you have just as much chance to reach the Celestial kingdom as the long time faithful church member does. It is expected however that before baptism you confess this sin to God and ask His forgiveness and mention it to either a Bishop or the mission president in your area. They might ask you how remorseful you feel for having committed the sin. If they are satisfied that you recognize that it was a sin and feel sorrow for having done it you will be allowed to be baptized. If you did not mention it to the Bishop before baptism, talk to him now to put your mind at rest and bring closure to it.
