JOEL - Fast offering funds are used at the Bishop's discretion, to help needy members with food, clothing, utility bills, medical bills, rent or mortgage payments, or whatever the member needs to sustain a healthy life. Often the member can get food and other commodities from the Bishop's storehouse rathar than be given cash to buy it somewhere else.
The money is not used to pay off credit card debts or unsecured loans.
The help is expected to be temporary until the member can get back to a position where they can sustain themselvs.
