RICHARD - When I was on my mission I heard that if we memorized a scripture per day for two years I would have dveloped a photographic memory. Can you find out which Church leader of the Church said this and what exactly was the quote.

JOEL - This is attributed to Thomas S. Monson, known for his photographic memory, who has recommended this technique of memory development when talking to groups of people such as missionaries in the MTC. I don't believe there are any written talks or references which contain a quote of him saying this. It is just something that people have heard him say at various speaking engagements, especially to missionaries at the MTC. I have also heard that Bruce R. McConkie said something similar. Perhaps someone with a reference to a published talk containing a quote about this will let us know about it. A more important question though might be does it really work?
