JOEL - That is not the proper use of consecrated oil. There is no healing power in the oil itself. The power to heal comes from the priesthood of God through His servants who use the oil in the the blessing ordinance, and through the faith of the person receiving the blessing. Your friend should continue to seek medical help and ask someone for a priesthood blessing and leave it in God's hands.
