TOM - I heard a quote that supposedly was spoken by Albert Einstein about James E. Talmage. Supposedly someone asked Einstein what it felt like to be the smartest man alive and he said, "I don't know you need to ask James Talmage." I love this quote and I hope that it is real and true. Have you ever heared it and if you have do you know if it has been written down anywhere?

JOEL - There is no reliable reference or support for this quote, that I can find. There is no evidence that Einstein knew Talmage well enough to have made such a statement. Someone was probably just trying to describe the intelligence of Talmage and made up the quote, and people perpetuated it as though Einstein actually said it.
