TRAVIS - Is James J. Strang's church still around? I know many joined the community of Christ, The RLDS, but is James J. Strang's church still around? What are the requirements to be able to make sure I can join in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

JOEL - The Strangite church, headquartered in Wisconsin, is still in existance today, although its membership is small in number. They also call themselves the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints", but are known by other names and claim they are the "original" true church. They have their own web site at:
http://www.strangite.org
They are in no way connected with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The following web site page briefly summarizes the doctrines and beliefs of the LDS Church of which I am a member:

However, your question about requirements for joining our church would be best answered by talking with our missionaries. You can have someone contact you by going to the following site and filling out the online form:

You are also welcome to visit one of our worship services anytime you want. If you go to the following site, you can get the address, a map, and the times of worship service of the chapel nearest you:

This site will also answer some of your basic questions.
