SIONE - Whats the LDS Church teachings on family funeral services? Are non-members allowed to give testimony about the deceased or is it strictly member only?

JOEL - There are no restrictions as to who can speak at the funeral of a deceased family member. The itinerary of the program is left up to family members with some guidance from the Bishop. People attending or speaking at a funeral for a church member are urged to maintain a spirit of reverence, dignity, and solemnity during a funeral service and at gatherings connected with the service, especially if the service is conducted in the chapel. LDS Church buildings can even be used for funerals of non-members if they request it.
